What Reasons Are There for Having Sleep Apnea Tests

Obstructive sleep apnea and the prefrontal cortex: towards aWhat is the mechanism involved in sleep apnea tests? Have you asked yourself that question? Have you wondered how the doctors are able to come up with a diagnosis by just attaching a person to some electrodes?

Have you tried figuring out how the doctors are able to say that the patient is having a sleep apnea by just observing him sleep? To an ordinary person like me, the mechanism involve in the test to diagnose sleep apnea is a big puzzle. I know what the purpose of the test is but I don’t know how the test works.

The simplest explanation I learned about the test is that the electrodes transmit some signals to a monitor. The results that were reflected on the monitor will then be the basis of the doctor’s diagnosis. I am not clear yet on how the electrodes are able to come up with such signal and how the signals are transported into the monitor. I give the responsibility of explaining the detailed mechanism of the apnea test to the people who have a background on it.
